The Saco community takes great pride in our youth and strongly supports their education and activities. Saco Public School is known in Montana for its progressive futuristic plan for student education and has been recognized in Redbook magazine as one of the nation’s best elementary schools and in Time magazine for its Advanced Placement program in the high school. In the past 15 years, Saco School has led the way in technology implementation. The school has a cutting edge computer network readily accessible to students and staff.

The Saco School Board has made a commitment to provide our students with access to classes that give them dual high school and college credit. Even from our rural location, our students are able to get a head start on post-secondary education through Advanced Placement courses and articulation with most of the Vocational Technical institutions in Montana.

Extra and co-curricular activities include music, basketball, volleyball, football, track, Business Professionals of America and Technology Students of America, Students Taking a New Direction and others.
